Why Recycle?

In some cases, it is the law. Many states (including Utah) require proper disposal of lamps, ballasts, batteries and electronic waste. Make sure you are compliant with the state law by contacting the EPA or the State Department of Environmental Quality.

Recycling is the right thing to do. Recycling is a simple way to "walk the talk" of being a green organization and it can be a way to earn LEED points for your facility.

Recycling is cost effective. The cost to recycle in minimal when compared to fines or enforcement action from government agencies. There is no additional charge for obtaining a certificate of recycling.

Recycling helps the environment. Spent lamps and ballasts contain mercury and other materials that can have a harmful effect on the environment. Recycling is an easy way to make sure our water is not contaminated from lamps disposed in the landfill.

Recycling is easy. Just bring the lamps and ballasts to us and we will do the rest. Please do not use tape to package the fluorescent tubes.
